'At Weir Farm'
'At Weir Farm'
Weir Farm is a National Park in Connecticut.
I was so lucky to have my daughter take me there for a surprise picnic, with my Granbaby, and the love of my life.....
It was a beautiful day, and we enjoyed the grounds of this special place that artists have painted forever..... My granbaby is in the painting frolicing and having fun. We are in the background enjoying the view and the picnic.
National Parks are one of the wonders of this country that we have available to us and should try to enjoy more. I hope you enjoy the painting as much as I enjoyed the day.

'Martin's Course'
s
I was commissioned to paint a golf scene on a wall in a lanai/home in Florida....... this was the largest painting that I have accomplished. The reference image was 3" x 4" and the wall was 10 feet x 14 feet!!!!! I started with underpaintings of blue and yellow to show thru the overpainting and then proceeded to paint in the rest...............I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge, the weekend and the experience, including the 9 holes of golf that we got in. It was fun deciding where the golf balls should be placed... of course, Martin's was on the green in one. Enjoy! *SOLD

'A Day Late & A Dollar Short'
Day 115 'A Day Late & A Dollar Short'
Yesterday was Memorial Day, but there was no time to paint.... so, today's painting is in honor of Memorial Day and all of the men and women who have gone to fight for us, as well as the troops that are there right now. It is certainly an honorable day that we are proud to wave our flags.................this painting started out as a monotype original print, but alot of the paint did not want to budge, so I decided to finish it by painting on the paper directly. I like the effect of the mixed media...... A perfect picnic setting on Memorial Day! Enjoy for 1 less $......*SOLD

'Litchfield Daffodils'
Day 111 'Litchfield Daffodils' ........There is a wonderful place in Litchfield, Connecticut that people flock to in the Springtime. They go to see the daffodils...... lots and lots of daffodils spread out with beautiful stone walls and budding trees to create a beautiful landscape.
I was commissioned to paint this wonderful view and I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to be immersed in daffodils. The only thing missing was the scent.
Enjoy!

'Purple Haze'
Day 19
Watercolor Batik on Ricepaper is a fun method of expression. I use hot wax as a resist to save the whites and lights to build all of the color. The wax is removed by ironing it out between newspapers. The ricepaper gives alot of texture along with intense colors. I usually paint larger pieces with Batik

Day 9
T.K. Coffee is an incredible brew created by T.K. himself and is absolutely delicious. I think this will be the beginning of a series of drinks that we all enjoy.
Clayboard is a great surface that absorbs the paint, but allows you to pull out of it as well. It almost looks like acrylic.
